Artist showcase to take place online

The Guild Hall, a center for the arts, will showcase the work of Ryan Campbell next month. The event will take place online and is open to all Long Island residents, including those living in Levittown.

Campbell is an artist-in-residence at Guild Hall and works as a playwright, and his plays have been featured in stages in New York, Texas, Connecticut, and Minnesota. Campbell’s works showcase a “fusion of idealism and world-weariness,” and he will showcase samples of his work produced while at Guild Hall. Entrants are encouraged to bring questions to ask Campbell regarding his work and residency.

The event is part of Guild Hall’s Artist-in-Residence program, which offers artists a place to research and create new projects. Residents stay for a month and connect with other artists, leaders, and philanthropists during weekly dinners. Since the start of the pandemic, the program has moved online, where the artist completes the program from home or studio.

If guests cannot attend the showcase, more artist-in-residence events will take place in future months. These events can be supported with the use of poster printing to help promote the event to those interested. The showcase will happen on April 10 at 7:00 PM. Registration is free, but entrants are encouraged to leave a donation. The event will be streamed on Guild Hall’s YouTube channel.
