Top comedians coming to Buffalo

Two comedy geniuses have teamed up and are coming to Buffalo.

Steve Martin and Martin Short are on the road and promise audience members an evening “you will forget for the rest of your life,” as they come to Buffalo with their “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today” tour. The comedy icons promise new sketches, a little music, and loads of laughs.

Martin and Short have been friends for decades, starting in 1985 when they met while filming “Three Amigos.” However, they did not really bond until they got to know one another on a deeper level than that afforded by a movie shoot that lasted a few weeks. Instead, they bonded over a Scrabble game, with Short saying that he knew Martin was someone worth keeping as a friend.

Each praises the other, with Short describing Martin as a “very moral . . . very loyal, very, very ethical” man, adding that it is Martin’s character that makes him an ideal touring partner. Martin says much the same thing about Short. A review says:
“For the better part of two hours . . . these two comedy pros kept things moving and the audience laughing, a welcome respite from the real world awaiting most of us the next morning.”

The duo will be at Sheas Performing Arts Center in Buffalo on May 4. When events like this are planned, organizers often use poster printing to create advertising to announce them.
