Sweet event scheduled for Buffalo

Buffalo residents have a sweet time ahead of them with a forthcoming festival.

The Sweet Tooth Festival 2020 is returning to Buffalo, for a day in which the best sweet shops and dessert makers in Western New York will get together for the ultimate competition in desserts.

The event is just what its name implies—every kind of sweet imaginable will be brought together for festival attendees to sample, including cocktails inspired by candy, and a Bubbly-Bar. There will also be vendors, onstage contests, a concession stand, and more.

New this year is the fact that everyone who attends the event will also act as a judge. Each dessert vendor will offer a bite-sized sample of their specialty, so visitors can try all of them before voting for a favorite. The vendors will be trying to win the title of “Best Overall Dessert,” or one of the two brand-new categories, “Best Presentation,” and “Opposites Attract.” The latter title will go to the vendor who best combines opposing elements such as crunchy and soft, hot and cold, salty and sweet, and others.

The Sweet Tooth Festival is now scheduled for July 19, which is a reschedule from the original March 29 date. Those who have already bought tickets may still use them. The location and time are the same: Buffalo RiverWorks, with the first session from 12.00 pm until 2.00 pm, and the second session from 3.00 pm until 5.00 pm. Flyer printing can be used to create guides for events like this.
