Rap and rave crossover coming to Buffalo

An event is planned for Buffalo that is sure to get rave reviews.

Rapper Fetty Wap is bringing GlowFest 2020 to VENU in Buffalo, and everyone is invited to the rave. Wap has been nominated for the Grammy twice, and cites Southern rappers like Gucci Mane as having influenced him.

In 2014 he began his career with the hip-hop group Remy Boyz, and worked on “1738,” their mixtape. His breakthrough came the following year, when he released “Trap Queen,” a single. He also released his first album that year, the self-titled “Fetty Wap,” which featured “Trap Queen.” The album went to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

In 2015, he released four singles. Two of the songs, “My Way,” and “Again,” were certified 3X Platinum by the RIAA, and one, “679,” was given the 6X Platinum designation. He continues to tour and record.

A review of Fetty Wap says:

“Fetty was amazing, he had great interaction with the crowd and also let people onstage.”
