Popular cover band booked for Buffalo

A cover band for one of the most popular bands ever is coming to Buffalo.

Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) is a tribute band for the Grateful Dead, one of the most iconic bands in the history of rock. The name of the band comes from the Dead’s song “Dark Star,” that they released as a single in 1968.

DSO has now been performing for more than 25 years, and has given more than 3,100 shows. The group is famous for never performing the same show twice. At any performance, the show may use a set list from one of the performances the Dead gave in their 30-year career, or create an original set list for the performance. By using set lists from former shows as well as developing their own lists, DSO provides a continually changing version of this material, delighting long-term Deadheads and new fans as well.

DSO has toured the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe, and has appeared at music festivals such as Mountain Jam, SweetWater 420 Festival, The Peach Music Festival, and Bonnaroo. A review calls a DSO show:

“. . . a crazy and immensely fun evening.”

DSO will be at the Outer Harbor Live! at Terminal B in Buffalo on July 18. Events like this are traditionally advertised with Posters, colorful and informative items that organizers will find at local Print shops.
