The Lost Dog Street Band, with Matt Heckler, is coming to Buffalo Iron Works. The group is based in Muhlenberg County in Kentucky, and comprises Benjamin Tod, Ashley Mae, and Jeff Loops. Tod and Mae are companions in both life and music. Tod is the group's main songwriter, as well as handling vocals and guitar, while Mae sings harmony and plays the fiddle. Loops, who was with Deep Chatham, is on bass.
Tod and Mae formed the band in 2010 in Nashville, with the intention of carrying on the tradition of the troubadour. They traveled the country by hitchhiking and train, following the footsteps of artists like Woody Guthrie who brought their music to the audiences in their own local venues.
A review of the band in performance said:
