One of the biggest bands in rock will be in Buffalo soon, warming up the winter weather.
The legendary group Kiss will appear at the KeyBank Center during their End of the Road World Tour. Kiss has been playing heavy-metal, glam, shock rock and hard rock since 1973, when they started out in New York City. Of the four founding members, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are still with the group, and have stayed with it through a number of membership changes.
Kiss is known for its elaborate stage shows, pyrotechnics, costumes, and makeup. However, the group's huge success is due not only to their theatricality, but to their solid rock skills, as some of their most popular years came when they abandoned the makeup and costumes.
In a group boasting more than 75 million album sales worldwide, the four founding members of the group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. A review of a Kiss concert said the band used the kind of pyrotechnics that are rarely seen today, and the group
“sounded good and looked good, even in closeups on the large video board behind them.”
Kiss will be in Buffalo on February 5, from 7:30 pm until 10:30 pm. For those who miss the spectacle, don't worry—the band is back in makeup and costume. Poster printing is often used to create advertising for events like this.
