Huge festival planned in Buffalo

One of the biggest parties in the country will take place soon in Buffalo.

TOPS presents The Taste of Buffalo, which promotes the city and showcases the businesses and restaurants located here. The event, which started in 1984, is the United States’ biggest two-day food celebration, and now draws nearly 450,000 patrons every year. It was also voted the premier outdoor festival in Western New York State.

Attendees at the festival will be able to sample goodies from over 20 local restaurants, including Dirty Bird Chicken ‘n Waffles LLC, who will have chicken and waffles, chicken sliders, and more; and India Gate, who will serve Indian dishes including chana masala.

There will be cooking demonstrations, and a line-up of bands is being assembled to provide live entertainment. When events like this are planned, organizers can use brochure printing to create Booklets listing the vendors.

Most of the money raised at the Taste will go to the participating restaurants. Then, after expenses such as entertainment, permits, and more are paid, the Taste makes contributions to local charities. In addition, as many as five seniors in high schools who live in one of Western New York’s eight counties, and who plan to study hospitality or culinary arts, receive a $1,000 scholarship provided by the Taste.

The 39th Taste of Buffalo is scheduled for July 9 and 10 in Delaware Avenue at Niagara Square, and everyone is invited to share food, drink, and fun that celebrate Buffalo.
