Fast-casual food with a difference to come to Buffalo

Three vendors at the food hall on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo have joined forces, and will be opening a project calls PK Eats that combines three cuisines into one experience.

Sun Cuisines, barVera, and Newbury Salads will bring cocktails, healthy options, and Asian offerings together to give diners something new. The concept is the brainchild of Paul Tsouflidis, who owns Newbury Salads, and Kevin Lin of Sun Cuisine, who wanted to combine to offer something different in the fast-casual scene. As they developed the idea, Tsouflidis asked Cameron Rector, who owns barVera, to join them. Rector agreed, and recently closed down his operation on Lexington Avenue to move to the Hertel location.

The food hall concept allows diners to choose their meal from different vendors who are operating in one location. They then move to a communal seating area to enjoy their food. The new PK Eats' plan includes two seating areas, a drinks station where patrons can pour non-alcoholic beverages for themselves, and open kitchens, so diners can see their food being prepared.

PK Eats is also planning to use Bebot, a high-tech ordering system that connects Sun Cuisine's menu with Newbury's, and then texts diners that their orders are done.

PK Eats is planning to mark its grand opening with a party on January 9. Building brand recognition is vital to any business, so developers of efforts like this could distribute Promotional Products as part of the opening fun.
