Buffalo plans tasty festival

One of the biggest events on the schedule is taking shape in Buffalo.

The Taste of Buffalo includes opportunities for people to enjoy food, drink, and live entertainment. There are more than 40 restaurants taking part, serving a wide variety of food. Among those confirmed are the Allen Street Hardware Café, which will offer a pork belly, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, as well as chilled banana soup; India Gate, which will have chicken tandoori and butter chicken taco twist; and Is That Grandma, with gumbo, crab cakes, and po’ boy sliders.

Food is only part of the fun. Participating wineries include Merritt Winery, serving their wine slush, among other drinks. Victorianbourg Winery will offer sweet wines, and two other wineries – A Gust of Sun and Three Brothers Winery – are also confirmed.

Live entertainment is always a highlight of any event like this, and among the performers scheduled to appear are the Bottle Rockets, the Indigenous Spirit Dancers, Wasted Whiskey, Bloodmoney, and Silver Xtreme. Scheduled DJs are DJ P-Nasty and DJ Darkmatter.

The Taste of Buffalo will take place July 11 and 12 along Delaware Avenue in Downtown Buffalo. The hours are July 11 from 11.00 am until 9.00 pm, and July 12 from 11.00 am until 7.00 pm. Events like this benefit when organizers use flyer printing to create handouts listing the vendors and performers and providing a schedule.
