Residents on the hunt for work can look to many different companies in the healthcare field, following a late April decision between four Buffalo companies.
The Superior Group and the University at Buffalo co-hosted a panel discussion on April 24 with regard to careers with Clinical Support Servics, Harmac Medical Products, Liazon Corp., and ZeptoMetrix. All four are looking for qualified employees, and the positions range from customer service workers, to software developers, to pharmacists.
Each of the four companies has experienced growth and anticipates the trend to continue. In 2010, Clinical Support Services had only four employees, but now employs 30 people and expects to double that number by the end of 2015.
Harmac Medical Products, which makes single-use products such as IV Bags, has increased its workforce by approximately 100 people in five years. While the design end of the company requires engineers in particular, Harmac is looking for people at all levels.
Liazon Corp. has grown from two employees to 136, and plans to launch internationally; a move that will require it to hire 15-20 software engineers by the end of the summer, while ZeptoMetrix also plans to expand and hopes to fill a number of extremely technical laboratory jobs.
