Williamsville to open up its gardens

The Williamsville area is home to some of the state’s most spectacular plantings, and a local program will give the public a sneak peek behind the garden gate.

Starting in early July, a variety of properties in and around Buffalo Niagara will be taking part in the Open Gardens initiative, with almost 100 on the list. They will be welcoming the public on a selection of dates and times, and both printed guides and a smartphone app have been prepared to help offer participants a better experience.

The properties taking part will be open during set hours, and this information will be included in the guides. Many of the owners will be on site to answer questions, and there will likely be no crowds to deal with. A sign will be provided to each participating location that indicates whether or not it is open, and they have all signed on to be accessible to visitors for at least five days during the month of July.

Many gardeners are pleased to show off the fruits of their labors to those who appreciate them. Printed guides that include additional information and full color photos can be prepared for an occasion by area Stationery printers.

The July dates for the 2022 Open gardens program will be included in the printed guides, along with the location for each of the stops. More information about both the initiative and the printed guides can be found on the Gardens Buffalo Niagara website.
