Williamsville prepares for Old Home Days summer celebration

Williamsville’s Island Park is set to serve as the venue for a celebration that will showcase what makes the community special.

The city’s Old Home Days will soon be here. It will run for four days, each of which will offer a variety of activities.

The festivities will kick off with a community parade on Main Street and the opening of the midday ride area and beer tents, them the next day will have a “seniors’ day” theme. The Amherst Youth Foundation has filled the Thursday with fun geared towards kids and young adults. In keeping with the celebration's "Old Home” theme, several local schools will be hosting class reunions.

A variety of businesses and not-for-profit groups have applied to set up a booth or display. A full list of the companies that have sponsored the celebration is available on the event’s website.

Summer is a popular time for community gatherings, and Print shops can lend a hand. They can prepare canopies and tenting that provide shade for those who stop by. Companies that provide banner printing services specialize in preparing these types of materials.

Williamsville will be rolling out the welcome mat for its Old Home Days, which will run from Tuesday, July 15 to Friday, July 18. Its website provides full details, including information about timings and locations.
