A Williamsville clean-up project will provide community members a time to show some love to their hometown by giving its parks a good spring clean.
The I Love My Parks initiative will see volunteers fan out across the village to tackle a variety of projects. This part of the day will be limited to the removal of trash and other debris, and there will be no weeding involved.
The activity is being undertaken as part of the larger initiative planned by Parks & Trails NY, and it will include both Williamsville and Amherst. There will be an assortment of volunteer opportunities available, and along with the trash collection, the organizers are hoping to hear from anyone interested in lending a hand with volunteer recruitment, marketing, taking photos, and getting involved in other ways. At least five venues are on the list, which include parks, some streets, and also the Lehigh Valley Trail.
Spring clean-up projects can bring a community together to make a big impact. A poster printing company can prepare materials that help spread the word, as well as sign-up sheets, waivers, Letterheads, and other custom Forms.
This day of hands-on environmental advocacy will take place throughout this Saturday, May 3. More details, as well as registration Forms, are available on the I Love My Parks Facebook event page.
