The annual Main Street Amherst - Wine and Chocolate Walk fundraiser in mid-May.
This will be a self-guided walk from one participating business to another in downtown Amherst. At each stop, attendees will be treated to a chocolate paired with a wine sampling. Guests must begin their gastric journey at the MSA Office where they will receive event Bags, wristbands, passports and maps of those businesses taking part in the event. Everyone will visit from 15 to 25 businesses, enjoying chocolate and wine and getting their passport stamped. At the end of the walk, the passports may be entered into a raffle for gift baskets and a chance to win a grand prize.
Events like this often go to local Print shops to get their route maps printed.
Participating businesses must remain open during the event from noon to 4:30 pm, provide real chocolate and wine samples, pay a $25 fee, donate gift baskets or prizes, and display the baskets in their shops.
Tickets are $35 and on sale now at the MSA Office, 255 Park Avenue. Guests must be at least 21 years old and have physical tickets to gain admission. The event has been capped at 350 people.
Rain or shine, Main Street Amherst's Wine and Chocolate Walk will take place Sunday, May 17 from noon to 4:30 pm in Downtown Amherst. The MSA Office will start admitting guests at 11:30 am and close at 1:00 pm.
