Amherst plans plant repotting workshop

Knowing how to repot a variety of species of plants can be an invaluable skill for the home horticulturalist, and an Amherst workshop will provide tips and advice that may be helpful to the houseplant newbie.

Life is Succulents will be offering the chance to learn the essentials of repotting plants in a new container, and tickets are $15.00. It's scheduled for a Thursday evening in late March, and will run for one and half hours.

While they sip on a cup of tea, the attendees will get hands-on reporting experience, and there will be experts on hand to provide advice at every step of the process. They will each move a plant of their own into a larger home, and The registration fee includes the instruction as well as potting mix, tools and the demonstration. Everyone can choose to either bring their own “green friend” from home or choose one at the shop. A 10% discount will be able for these purchases. No previous experience is needed.

Plants add life and color to almost any room, and learning how to care for them can keep them healthy and happy. A workshop teaches these skills, and Copies of handouts and other materials can be ordered from area Stationery printers.

Houseplant Repotting 101 will help a new crop of home horticulturalists give their plants lots of TLC on March 26th. It will begin at 6:30 pm.
