Secaucus to learn how to craft Korean dish

Kimchi is a popular fermented dish in traditional Korean cuisine, and a Secaucus area workshop will teach the public how they can prepare a special version of it.

The Paramus Public Library has scheduled a session that will introduce registrants to the art of preparing winter kimchi, although the recipe will be a little different than what many are used to. The class is intended for those age 18 and up, and it will run for one hour.

The group will be getting some hands-on experience in preparing the dish, and one of the ingredients will be radishes. It will not be as spicy as the traditional version of the recipe, and it can be used as an accompaniment for a variety of dishes or enjoyed on its own. As it will be a make and take, everyone will walk away with some to enjoy at home.

Continuing education workshops give adults an enjoyable way to learn new skills and hobbies. Community guides can help to keep the public informed about when and where they will be taking place, and these may be prepared by local brochure printing companies.

This make-and-take class will be held on Tuesday, December 7 starting at 7:00 pm. Registration opened yesterday, November 22, and space in the activity is limited so people are advised to book quickly.
