The panel who made the decision was a varied one. It included investment bankers, angel investors, and venture capitalists. The panel adjudicated that the group of students from Cornell University deserved the major prize in the competition.

More than 500 startups created by students took part in the event. The biotechnology business that outperformed the competition could use digital Business Cards from Secaucus to help drive its progress going forward. The competition was presented by various partners, including Syracuse University and the School of Business at Albany University.

Stacey Keefe, an executive director for Syracuse University, has said:

“This competition inspires students to challenge themselves with the creation and deployment of novel business concepts that will undoubtedly prepare them for future business success.”
