Resources Real Estate and the Lunch Break Life Skills Center, both in Red Bank, have created a partnership that will establish the Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation Scholarship.

This charitable arm of Resources Real Estate enables people to pursue career or educational opportunities as part of a program to help with life skills. This program is among the initiatives of the Lunch Break Life Skills Center and offers business partnerships and training so that participants can gain meaningful employment and improve their prospects in their careers.

The center offers help with writing and preparing resumés and cover letters, interviewing skills, legal planning, computer skills, and goal planning, among others. Such new partnerships often turn to flyer printing to provide more information for those in need of such services in the community.

This new scholarship will help women enrolling in its programs with financial support. The funds will go towards such costs as certification and vocational programs; continuing education prep classes; and higher education. They will also support related costs like down payments on cars, drivers’ education, and childcare.

Lunch Break is a non-profit organization that provides life skills, clothing, food, and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond. Operations Manager of Life Skills at Lunch Break, Mary Ann LaSardo, expressed her excitement about this new partnership.
