Special program in Red Bank receives state grant

A grant of $100,000 has been awarded to The Source, a youth services program at Red Bank Regional High School (RBRHS), from the 2024 budget.

This funding will enable The Source to retain staff and maintain and increase its programs in health and wellness, as well as those related to mental health and basic needs. More information about such services can be provided to students and staff with flyer printing.

Superintendent of Red Bank Regional High School, Dr. Lou Moore, said that this additional funding will help The Source to meet the social emotional needs of the staff, the students, and the community at large in various ways. Moore expressed his gratitude to State Senator Vin Gopal for his help in making the funding possible.

Supervisor of The Source, Suzanne Keller, said that having this program in the building is important to students and makes a difference in their lives. She expressed her thrill that the senator was such a champion of the program with the grant being the result of his support.

The Source was started at RBRHS 22 years ago. It offers comprehensive counseling services, advocacy, family engagement, academic support, and collaboration with partners in the community. The Source Foundation, the Red Bank Regional High School Board of Education, and the New Jersey Department of Children and Families fund the program, meaning services are free.
