Superintendent of Schools of the Red Bank Borough of Public Schools, Dr. Jared J. Rumage, has been selected as the Monmouth County Superintendent of the Year for 2023.
Every year, the superintendents in the 60 school districts in the county nominate one of their peers who they feel embodies the spirit of leadership in a district. Dr. Rumage was recognized this year and will now apply for the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) Regional Superintendent of the Year for 2023, representing Monmouth County.
Those selected as Superintendent of the Year need to demonstrate strength in communications, meeting the needs of their students, heavy involvement in the community, and a commitment to professional growth and development.
Dr. Rumage has demonstrated that he has been able to collaborate with stakeholders, build a positive organizational climate and strong school culture, and foster a growth mindset. He has been able to rebrand the district by expanding partnerships, bringing back the educational foundation, and creating a new narrative through personal school tours and various multimedia outlets.

Dr. Rumage became superintendent of the Schools in Red Bank on July 1, 2014. He has been an athletic director, an elementary and middle school principal, and a special education teacher.
