What's Happening in Red Bank, NJ…

The Governor’s Educator of the Year Program of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has recognized several educators from Red Bank.

Teachers and educational services professionals are recognized by the NJDOE each year based on criteria that include being an expert in their field who inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn; actively collaborating with families, students, and colleagues to create a strong culture of respect and success; and demonstrating innovation and leadership of educational activities, among other measures.

Diana Archila, an art teacher, is the Governor’s Educator of the Year for 2025 for Red Bank Middle School. Archilla has been described by one of her colleagues as someone who is exceptionally dedicated and skilled. She has many unique talents which she uses to contribute to the school community.

Joanne Fiore, school psychologist, is the Educational Services Professional for the Red Bank Borough Public School District. Fiore is invaluable with her historical and deep knowledge of the students, their families, and their needs. Her dedication is evident in all that she does for the school community.

Kristen Smith, a middle school teacher, was recognized as an Exemplary Secondary Educator. Smith is an English Language Arts teacher for grade eight and has consistently demonstrated the leadership, innovation, and professionalism, that make her a model teacher.
