Recognition of character awarded to Red Bank school

Character.org has named the Red Bank Charter School as a National School of Character for 2022.

Character.org is a leader and advocate for character development in communities and schools across the country. Recognitions like this are often made known throughout the community with poster printing.

President of Character.org, Dr. Arthur Schwartz, expressed his pleasure in announcing and celebrating the schools that have earned this national honor. He said that each of these schools and school districts has demonstrated that they have a comprehensive approach to helping students care about, understand, and practice the strengths of character that will enable them to be successful in the workplace, as citizens, and in relationships.

Schools and districts that apply for this honor need to meet the rigorous standards of the “11 Principles Framework for Schools” that have been developed by Character.org to enable schools to plan, implement, and sustain their initiative for comprehensive character development. A team of trained evaluators then assesses each school and district.

Head of the Red Bank Charter School, Dr. Kristen Martello, expressed her honor in being a part of the school and appreciates the recognition that has been received for the positive culture that exists in the school.

The next international forum of Character.org will be held virtually and honor the National Schools and Districts of Character for 2022 on Wednesday, October 19 and Thursday, October 20.
