The Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation Scholarship has been established as a result of a partnership between the Lunch Break Life Skills Center and Resources Real Estate, both based in Red Bank.
Lunch Break is a non-profit organization that provide clothing, food, fellowship, and life skills to those in need in Monmouth County and the surrounding communities. The Life Skills Program is one of its initiatives. The program offers business partnerships and training that enable participants to find and maintain meaningful employment as well as improve their prospects for furthering their careers. Among the services offered are computer and interview skills, preparation of resumes and cover letters, legal planning, and budget counseling. More details about such services are often provided with flyer printing.
Women in the Life Skills Program who qualify for the Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation Scholarship will receive financial support to enable them to overcome obstacles they face with employment. They will also receive funds for costs related to transportation that can include registry fees, insurance, driver’s education, and down payments for cars. Additional coats that can be covered include continuing education classes and vocational and certification programs.
Life Skills Operations Manager at Lunch Break, Mary Ann LaSardo, expects that this scholarship will change the lives of many of its participants and expressed her excitement about the partnership with Resources Real Estate.
