Organization in Red Bank seeks proposals for outside mural

Proposals are being sought by Lunch Break, based in Red Bank, to create a meaningful and vibrant mural to be displayed on the outside wall of the new community center building of the organization. Lunch Break is a non-profit social service and food security organization that has been serving the needs of the community at no charge for 40 years.

The purpose of the project is to transform a blank wall into an engaging and attractive work of art that represents the values and commitment of the organization to fostering a diverse and unified community. At the same time, the mural should inspire generosity, understanding, respect, hope, and compassion and promote inclusivity and acceptance.

Such organizations often turn to poster printing and other printing services to encourage artists in the community to submit such proposals.

The overall size of the mural is 32 feet wide by close to 9 feet high. Materials used to create the mural need to be high quality and weather-resistant so the display will be maintained for a long period of time. Unique styles are encouraged by artists while still aligning the vision and theme of the mural which is a “Cohesive, Inclusive and Supportive Community,”

Proposals are to be submitted electronically to Lunch Break through January 2, 2024. The mural is expected to be completed by April 2024.
