Louisiana signer and young band to perform in Red Bank

Marc Broussard will be coming to the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank next month for a special performance.

At the show, which is part of the Carencro 20th anniversary tour, Broussard’s special guests will be Joe Hertler and The Rainbow Seekers. Such special concerts are often promoted throughout a town and surrounding communities with poster printing.

Broussard is often praised for channeling the spirits of rock, soul, and classic rhythm and blues into a more contemporary approach. This tour is in celebration of his debut album Carencro. Broussard will sing all the songs on the album, adding in other favorite songs from several of his other original albums along the way.

His father, Ted Broussard, was a Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist, and developed Marc’s musical talents at an early age. The vibrant music scene in Lafayette, Louisiana enabled Broussard to continue working on his music through adulthood. He recently teamed up with Joe Bonamassa, another titan of blues music, to release a blues cover record that benefits the charitable foundation of Bonamassa.

Joe Hertler and The Rainbow Seekers is a young group that blends Motown, folk and Americana into a unique sound, and the band will support Broussard during the Red Bank show.

The concert will be on Monday, March 4 at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm. Ticket prices range from $20 to $79.
