Healthcare clinic in Red Bank unveils updated facility

The renovated and expanded Parker Family Health Center (PFHC) in Red Bank is now open.

The facility was expanded by 2,900 square feet and now includes three new exam rooms making a total of seven, private areas for patient education, multipurpose conference spaces, telehealth, and counseling intakes. PFHC currently serves between 1,400 and 1,500 people and the expansion allows the facility to offer more services, such as physical therapy, and to serve a growing demand. Close to 150 volunteers – including administrative staff, doctors, and nurses – operate the health center. Carol Stillwell, Peter Graham, and Dorothea Bongiovi, all longtime backers of the facility, led a $5m funding drive to pay for the renovations and expansion.

Executive Director Suzy Dyer said that this expansion enables the center to provide even better care for its patients. Banner printing is often used at such facilities to inform residents of expansions and their many benefits for the community.

The Parker Family Health Center was founded in 2000. It was named after two African American doctors from Red Bank, Dr. James Parker and Dr. James Parker, Jr., who dedicated their lives to providing healthcare in the community. and provides free medical care to the underinsured and uninsured residents of Monmouth County, as well as those whose income is less than 300% of the federal poverty level.
