Community-wide softball game to be held in Red Bank

The Summer Tournament of Champions Softball Championship held by the Lunch Break organization is returning to Red Bank this summer.

This event is for newbies and veteran softball players to compete for a very sought-after prize – the trophy of the Lunch Break Softball Tournament Championship. People are encouraged to sign up for one of the eight needed teams. Softball teams can be of families and community members, schools, businesses, and corporate organizations. The entry fee is $250 per team. This is an ideal opportunity for teams to display their Logo Design on printed materials promoting such special events.

Each team member will receive a hat on the day of game. In addition to the major games, there will be music, a barbecue, raffles, and other games for attendees.

The mission of Lunch Break is to provide clothing and food, as well as education in life skills and fellowship to those in need in Red Bank, Monmouth County, and beyond, serving its clients with dignity and compassion with the goal of leading more productive and healthier lifestyles.

The Tournament of Champions Softball Championship will happen in Red Bank at the Count Basie Field from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 20. The games coincide with the annual Back to School Drive and Community Picnic of the Lunch Break.
