What's Happening in Red Bank, NJ…

The River Rangers Summer Canoeing and Learning Program hosted by the Navesink Maritime Heritage Association (NMHA) is returning to Red Bank this summer.

This program is for children between 10 and 14 years old. Children will paddle in colorful wooden canoes, designed and painted by children and adults, and will learn teamwork and boating skills, gain an understanding of the boating environment, make new friends, and enjoy opportunities for fun. During the five mornings that children are in the canoes, they will explore Shadow Lake and the Swimming and Navesink Rivers.

The cost for the program is $300 per child and $275 for members of the NMHA and includes a commemorative tee shirt. NMHA will provide canoes, paddles, life jackets, and other materials and transport these supplies to the locations of the program and parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from the starting and ending locations each day. All those interested in the program need to be able to swim.

Such programs often turn to flyer printing to promote themselves throughout a town and neighboring communities.

There will be three sessions of the program—July 22 until July 26, July 29 until August 2, and August 5 through August 9. All sessions will take place at the Navesink and Swimming Rivers and Shadow Lake from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
