Bozeman homeowners or tenants of single-household properties are invited to attend a session to learn about wildfires. It will also teach ways residents can adjust their landscaping to help prevent damage to their homes, while still keeping their preferred aesthetic.
Bozeman has a higher risk for wildfires than much of the United States, which makes this session particularly relevant for the area and individuals taking precautions to protect their own homes can help to safeguard the entire community.
Educational sessions can often make use of brochure printing services. Brochures allow attendees to take some of the information home with them, which is especially useful when the information is important to remember for the future.
This workshop is hosted by Montana State University (MSU) and will have both educational and practical, specific, components. There will be education shared on wildfires in general as well as landscaping ideas, using real world examples to help show potential risks and how to mitigate them. For the practical portion of the evening attendees will have the opportunity to share their own stories and evaluate their specific situations. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photo of their yard to assist with these evaluations.
This session will be taking place on August 18 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at MSU. Tickets can be purchased online for $25 for those who wish to learn more about wildfires, landscaping and how the two can interact at their residences.
