Stevensville session to explore river health

The organizers of State of the Rivers recently announced that this popular initiative will be making its return, and it will help to kick of the month of May for those interested in local environmental stewardship.

The team at Shore Rivers has reserved an evening at Stevensville’s Cult Classic Brewing, and this activity will offer a sneak peek into the health of area waterways and riparian areas. This will open a series of presentations that will welcome the public, and it will be hosted by two area Riverkeepers.

During the session, attendees will learn about the results of the most recent water testing from several area rivers, and also what is being done to protect these areas. It is free to participate, and to thank the crowd for their interest, a reception featuring beer and wine will be held. This will include an opportunity to sample oysters that have been harvested locally.

An engaging information session can leave the attendees wanting to learn even more. A poster printing company will be pleased to craft a variety of materials that can add extra value to a presentation.

This opportunity for the public to become more engaged when it comes to the health of area rivers will see its doors open at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 3. The location for the evening will be 1169 Shopping Center Road.
