Stevensville runners race for a charitable cause this autumn
Stevensville is hosting an upcoming running event aiming to showcase the connection between community-driven efforts and charitable results.
The Tides of Grace 5K is being held in October, and up to 500 runners are expected to attend. The race was originally launched as a means to raise money for those along the Eastern Maryland shore who may be in need of financial assistance. Therefore, all proceeds of this event will be donated to non-profit causes. Organizers travel to different townships throughout Maryland each month, and they will soon be working with the Stevensville population.
Athletic events such as long-distance races use a variety of techniques to market what participants can expect. Promotional methods can include working in tandem with local printing services, handing out flyers, and distributing brochures to retail outlets.
There are numerous competitions for attendees to select at the event. These include a standard 5K race, a race for children aged between 7 and 12, and a virtual 5K run/walk. Everyone who participates will receive a free complimentary T-shirt.
Tides of Grace is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 18, and activities commence at 8:30 am. Runners are asked to arrive at 605 Main Street approximately one hour before the race begins. While children under 6 can participate for free, registration fees for teenagers and adults range in price between $25 and $30.
