Stevensville runners will be lacing up their sneakers for the Color Run 5K which will be coming in a few days. All ages are welcome.
The course will begin at the Edge Arena, 325 Log Canoe Circle, proceed along the Cross Island Trail and return to the arena.
Organizers are asking participants to register beforehand at the arena’s website. Registration will be $30 per runner and comes with an event t-shirt sporting the yellow, white, magenta, violet and blue graphic design.
Vendors will be selling their merchandise and food after the race. Some of these will include Breakaway II Smoke Rattle & Roll, and Rita’s Italian Ice.
The run will be a fundraiser for the Giving The Edge Foundation. This organization provides community service projects, and scholastic achievement, development and athletic training to local youth.
For events such as this, those who do not want to run may decide to get some banner printing. They can then have Banners to wave during the race in order to show their support.
The Color Run 5K will be Saturday, August 31st. Although the run will begin at 10:00 am, the event organizers are asking runners to come at least an hour earlier to check in, prepare and get any course information. The event should wind down around 1:00 pm.
