Stevensville gets Wet and Wild

The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center will be holding its 40th birthday bash “Wet and Wild 2019” in early November.

The evening will begin with cocktails, and that will be followed by dinner. Wheelhouse will provide the music for the evening, and tickets for the event will be $150 each.

Local businesses and associations are donating to the live auction. The Dining Around Raffle will have gift cards from over 20 regional restaurants from Annapolis to DC, and from the Beach to the Eastern Shore. Some of these will be from Bridges Restaurant in Grasonville, Red Red Wine Bar in Ocean City and Annapolis, Rams Head Shore House here in Stevensville, Mama Mia Italian Bistro in Centreville, and Farmers Fishers Bakers in DC. Tickets are two for $40, or $25 each.

Proceeds from this event will go to supporting the center’s habitat restoration projects and environmental education.

The $3,040 Great Blue Heron and the $1,040 Red Fox sponsorship levels will include the business’s Logo Design on the event signage, while the other two – the Blue Crab ($750) and the Diamond Back Terrapin ($400) – will earn recognition in the evening’s program brochure printing.

This year’s Wet and Wild Bash will be Friday, November 8 starting at 6:30 pm at a new location – The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, 500 Marina Club Road.
