Shamrock Sprint, coming in mid-March, will be a 5k and a 1-mile fun run to raise money for Matapeake Elementary School’s PTA.
Registration for the one-mile fun run will be $15. The event will begin at 9:15 am on March 14 and end at 10:30 am.
The Shamrock Sprint Matapeake ES 5k will cost $20 per runner and will start at 9:00 am Saturday, March 14. This race will end at 10:30 am. The run will be chipped timed and results for the overall finisher and winners of the six age and gender divisions may be checked on the event’s website after the race.
The Shamrock Sprint Matapeake ES will be March 14 at Matapeake Elementary School, 651 Romancoke Road.
On March 28 from 8:00 until noon Terrapin Nature Park, 191 Log Canoe Circle, will hold its season Kick-Off Saturday Morning Beach Cleanup session. The park will furnish all the cleanup supplies such as trash Bags, buckets, gloves, and pickers. Light snacks will also be provided, and workers are advised to bring their own reusable water bottles. Children 12 and under must bring an adult with them. Saturday beach cleanups will continue once a month during spring and summer.
Those people and organizations interested in saving and beautifying the environment occasionally get flyer printing done so they can pass information like this on to others in their neighborhood and workplaces.
