Stevensville bookworms to enjoy a brew or two
A community favorite, Books and Beers, is returning with monthly meetings in 2025.
Cult Classic Brewing Company is a homegrown Stevensville brewery, bar, restaurant, and live music venue that will host the Books and Beers meeting series.
Books and Beers is returning with a new lineup of new and cult classic books for 2025, and inviting the Stevensville community to try reading a new book and discussing their opinions at these monthly meetings. These events are free to attend and open to everyone so long as they have read the book.
The first hour of the event will be focused on discussing the book and asking questions. and the final 30 minutes will be for casting it as a film or miniseries. The book of discussion in February is the gothic horror novel The Boatman's Daughter by Andy Davidson. The event's website contains a full schedule of the different books planned throughout 2025.
While it is often said that one should not judge a book by its cover, when reading books for events like Books and Beers, it can sometimes be helpful to review the cover to see if there are any Easter eggs or hidden clues. Authors often carefully consider the graphic design elements shown on the book covers or any promotions of the event to make sure they represent the story without giving away the plot.
The first Books and Beers 2025 event will be held on Tuesday, February 11 at 6:00 pm at the Cult Classic Brewing Company, located at 1169 Shopping Center Rd, Stevensville.
