Stevensville bike event to benefit charities

Stevensville will hold a community bike race in July to support several charitable organizations.

Bikes & Beers is a race where people can come together to support three local charities. Several biking distances will be available, including a 15, 30, and 45-Mile ride. Each version of the race will include GPS turn-by-turn instructions, fully marked routes, and rest stops. Participants can connect with other bikers at the start of the day and get their bikes checked by local stores. A party will be held after the bike ride that features live music, food trucks, and two complimentary beers.

The charities being supported by the Bikes & Beers races include The Common Wheel, The Ulman Foundation, and JAMSQUAD. The Common Wheel is a non-profit founded in 2014 that promotes bike culture to the community through events and informative classes. The Ulman Foundation is a group with resources for young adults impacted by cancer. JAMSQUAD is a non-profit group that provides free bikes to families.

The bike races will be held on Saturday, July 15. The cost to enter the event as a racer will range between $60 and $80, depending on the distance chosen. Prices for the event will also increase as the racing day gets closer. Those interested in only attending the post-ride party can pay $30. Community bike races like this can be promoted to consumers by using banner printing services.
