The upcoming Human Form Show at the Kent Island Federation of Art's Gallery is still accepting submissions in time for its mid-January start.
The exhibition is open to everyone and is limited to figurative works only, so sculptures, drawings, paintings, and other genres of art a likely to feature. All of the works submitted will be judged by Laura Era and awards will be given out in different categories. The deadline for submission is January 7 and items must be dropped off at the gallery on January 12 between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
The opening reception for the show, which is open to the public, is set to feature a stone carving demonstration by Carol Dreyfus and the presentation of the awards.
With local artists being given the opportunity to get their works out into the community, organizers of these types of shows frequently invest in flyer or poster printing services from Stevensville Print companies to help spread the word. Participating artists may also want to let others know about the show.
The Human Form Show will be on display at the Kent Island Federation of Arts Gallery from January 14 to February 28. The opening reception takes place on January 17 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, and is free to attend. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday.
