Expo to showcase and honor local businesses

The Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce's Business and Home Expo is taking place this October in Stevensville.

The event gives new companies a chance to introduce themselves to the public, or for established business to introduce new products and services. It is also an opportunity for business leaders to interact with one another.

Local businesses can rent a 6x6-foot space for $750 for chamber members or $950 for nonmembers. Vendors will also receive a ticket to the Excellence in Business Awards reception, which is being held at the same venue.

Several Excellence in Business awards will be presented at the reception, including Business Leader of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Public Servant of the Year and one for environmental awareness.

Many of the business leaders from Stevensville and surrounding communities who wish to attend either event will no doubt be thinking about sending in a new business card printing order, ensuring that they have enough cards to hand out to all of those they meet.

Both events are being held at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on October 16. The Business and Home Expo is being held from 5:00 pm until 7:30 om. Admission is free.
