Beachside fundraiser hike to occur near Stevensville

A guided hike is set to be hosted near Stevensville next month.

The Chesapeake Language Project (CLP) organized the hike as a fundraiser to help support immigrant students in Maryland. The funds raised from this event will help immigrants who graduate from Maryland high schools to gain access to more education opportunities and programs.

Since 2019, CLP has been running a mentorship program that helps high school students prepare for the college application process. The organization has paid for about $9,000 of scholarship fees for eight high school students over the past four years.

Individuals from Stevensville and other areas in Maryland who wish to take part in the fundraiser hike can purchase tickets online at $20 per person. Mentors and mentees of CLP can register for the event at no cost. All participants are reminded to dress suitably warm for the weather conditions on the day of the hike. Event organizers often favor poster printing as an economical way to produce high quality advertisements that feature key event details.

The Sunset Stroll by the Sea hike will begin at the headquarters outside of Sandy Point State Park and will take place along the beach.

This outdoor event is scheduled to take place in Annapolis at Sandy Point State Park on Saturday, October 3 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
