Residents of Catonsville are invited to play with trucks, but these are not Tonka toys, but rather real, full-size, actual vehicles used by people and departments in the city.
For the fourth year, the Touch-A-Truck Festival is coming to Catonsville, with the venue the Catonsville Cooperative Preschool. During the event, which will appeal to people of all ages, all kinds of vehicles will be available for people to examine, sit in, and learn about. The people who operate them will be on hand to answer questions.
Touch-A-Truck is a national event, but each community tailors it to meet the availability of vehicles. In Catonsville, vehicles will include a bulldozer, fire truck, and tractor-trailer. Often, the event also includes police cars, SWAT vehicles, cement mixers, dump trucks, highway department vehicles, buses, and in some locations, customized autos, and even search-and-rescue helicopters.
In addition to the vehicles, attendees will be able to enjoy a kids' corner, live music, and face painting. There will be vendors on hand with unusual items, and concessions will be available for purchase. The event is free and family-friendly, and everyone is invited.
The 4th Annual Touch-A-Truck Festival will be held from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on April 18. The Catonsville Cooperative Preschool is located at 6 Melvin Avenue in Catonsville. Banners are sturdy and suitable for outdoor events, so banner printing would be an excellent method of creating decorations for events like this.
