Catonsville welcomes Frosty Golf fundraiser
The Rotary Club of Cantonsville engages in a variety of community service projects, and it has one that it hopes will put the “fun” in fundraising planned for this winter.
The organization will be adding a special touch to the typical golf tournament fundraiser with its Frosty Golf activity. It will be set up in the John Erickson Conference Center at the Charlestown Retirement Community, and the doors will open an hour ahead of tee-off time.
After the players have arrived and checked in, they can mix and mingle before they pick up their putters. The play will open with a shotgun start, and there will be 18 holes to play though. Desserts and an assortment of other light bites will be served, and a full bar is also in the works. A silent auction for donated corporate gifts will add even more fun.
Both individual and team registration options have been created. The winning team will receive a prize of $200.
Planning a creative fundraiser can help to ensure it will meet its goals, and a banner printing company will be pleased to prepare materials that may help to keep a budget on track. They can also offer logo design services, which may be useful in building a brand.
This evening of fun for a cause is scheduled for Saturday, January 24. More details, as well as a list of the not-for-profit groups that will benefit, can be found on its web listing.
