The summer campaign of the Belmont Businesses for Brockton Kids has been launched by the GrowHope Foundation.

News of such efforts to help families and schools in a community can be disseminated with flyer printing.

As part of its Goods for Hope initiative, this campaign is designed to double the number of donations before the upcoming school year. The goal of starting such community drives during the summer is to secure and distribute needed resources early to ensure that teachers and students in the area are ready for the first day of school.

Assistance with this year’s campaign is being provided by a partnership with Hope & Comfort Hygiene Hub in Needham. This is a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve attendance in school, as well as confidence and health, by providing access to products that are essential for good hygiene. This will enable Goods for Hope and GrowHope Foundation to increase the availability of soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other items for personal care for the students and families of Brockton.

This year, GrowHope Foundation is working to improve school statistics on both regional and national levels. With 25% of the student population lacking basic school supplies and educators spending close to $900 of their own money for materials in the classroom, Goods for Hope is looking to alleviate financial stress in the area for both teachers and families.
