Vero Beach to see return of auto show

The first cars rolled out of the factory over 100 years ago, and a Vero Beach gathering will put antique autos in the spotlight.

This year will mark the 44th anniversary of the Vero Beach Antique Auto Show, which is a must-attend for many area vehicle buffs. The entries will be parked underneath the oaks at Riverside Park, and it is being organized by the Indian River Region of Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA).

The planners expect at least 325 cars on show. The entry fee for a vehicle is $30 in advance and $35 at the gate. Guests viewing the vehicles are welcome to enter for free. Parking is also available at no cost.

A DJ, food court, and car corral will also be part of the experience. As there will be a collection of canned food for area food banks, everyone is asked to bring a generous donation to help their neighbors in need.

The judging for the day will be broken down into several classes, and collectible dash plaques will be distributed. Trophies will be presented to the winners in each class. Customized Corporate Gifts and other awards can be prepared by printing professionals.

The show will take over Riverside Park on Saturday, March 18th. Registration will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, and the show will kick off at 10:00 am.
