Vero Beach dog park hosts first every Bark N Brew

Local dog lovers recently had an opportunity to enjoy some time with their pet and enjoy some of the offerings of local craft breweries.

The Vero Beach Dog Park played host to its first ever Bark N Brew. It was a free event, and those who came out got to enjoy food, beer, and even some live music. Along with these, there was a wiener dog race, a dog talent show, and also a lure contest.

The Humane Society of Vero beach and Indian River County were on hand with some dogs that were in need of a permanent home. Brochure printers can produce pamphlets that can be given out to anyone who may be interested in adopting a dog or other pet from the society. These can explain how the adoption process works and also answer some of the most common questions asked.

The dog park officially opened for business this month. It covers an area of five acres, and has separate areas for small and large pets. A local non-profit group, the Friends of Vero Beach Dog Exercise Area Inc., runs the space, which it leases from the city.

According to the group’s president, Phill Reid, it has been getting a lot of use, and has become very popular with local dog owners. The organization maintains the space and is continuing to find new ways to improve it.
