St. Augustine celebrates 100 years of Davis Shores
This October, the Davis Shores neighborhood will celebrate its centennial with an evening of music, food, and history. The milestone event will highlight a century of community life in one of St. Augustine’s most storied areas.
The gathering will bring residents and visitors together for a night of reflection and festivity. Guests will enjoy live music from The House Cats, while memory boards on display will showcase photographs and stories tracing the evolution of Davis Shores over the past hundred years.
Presentations will feature local historians, civic leaders, and community members. The program includes Pecha Kucha talks, offering brief but engaging reflections on the neighborhood’s growth and cultural influence. The evening will conclude with a ceremonial cake cutting and a champagne toast to honor the past and look ahead to the future.
Culinary offerings will be offered by restaurants including Meehan’s, Bea’s, Purple Olive, Mojo’s Tacos, Black Fly, Sogno, and Flamingo Coffee, with dessert prepared by Create a Cook.
Admission is $50 for adults 12 and older, $20 for children ages 3 to 11, and free for children under 3. Tickets include access to presentations, entertainment, and food, while beverages must be purchased separately. Kids must be escorted by a guardian or parent.
To share details of occasions like this, organizers may turn to poster printing as an informational method.
The Davis Shores Centennial Celebration takes place Saturday, October 18th, from 6 to 9 pm at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, 999 Anastasia Blvd, St. Augustine, Florida.
