A concert celebrating the works of 70s band, The Carpenters, is set to be held this December.
The event, ‘Merry Christmas Darling: A Carpenter’s Christmas,’ will have live performances by tribute singer Michelle Berting Brett and her dedicated band.
The show will include storytelling of Christmas memories, and the careers of The Carpenters.
The Carpenters are a musical duo that was active during the 70s and 80s. The group consisted primarily of Karen and Richard Carpenter, a sibling duo.
The group was popular for their work in soft pop music, specializing in ballads and romantic songs. Their hits include ‘Close to You’ and ‘Superstar’.
The headline performer of the event, Michelle Berting Brett, rose to popularity with her renowned covers of The Carpenter’s work.
Though originally from Canada, her music career is based in the US. Since 2013, she has received praise for her soothing vocals in live performances. She had her first album released in 2013, exclusively dedicated to The Carpenters.
