This New Year’s Eve, Pinellas Park residents are welcome to be among the crowd at a special area event.
St. Petersburg has plans in the works for a New Year’s Eve Arts Party, and it will have offerings for all ages. This will be the 29th year for this annual festival, and many of the installations and activities will be interactive.
The celebration will run for eight hours, and various community venues will be welcoming the public. Performers will be showcasing their talents, and each ticket will grant the bearer entry to the 12 different participating locations.
While the festivities will offer no shortage of fun, they also have a higher purpose. One of the installations will be devoted to the monarch butterfly, and the first 500 people to stop by will receive a packet of milkweed seeds from a native species of the plant.
It was noted that, for as long as supplies last, each ticket holder will receive a First Night St. Pete button, which includes a custom graphic design prepared for the event. The host explained that the proceeds will be used to pay the participating artists and fund the activity in future years.
The 2022 St. Petersburg New Year’s Eve Arts Party will be getting started at 4:00 pm on December 31. More information as well as details about how to purchase one of the custom designed buttons can be found on its Patch listing.
