An event that can provide living proof that each person can make a difference when it comes to the health of beaches will soon be on offer near Pinellas Park. Hosted through a partnership between Air Canada and the 4ocean outreach team, everyone is encouraged to attend.
A variety of local environmental organizations will be participating in the beach cleanup, which will be held on Clearwater Beach. The plan for the morning includes educational presentations, and there will also be a pop-up market with an assortment of eco-friendly Promotional Products on offer that can be helpful when it comes to giving the boot to single-use plastics.
All ages are welcome to be a part of the event, and hemp Bags and work gloves will be distributed to help with the clean-up portion of the activity. The planners noted that it can be a great chance for local students to meet their community service requirements, and the Volunteer Coordinator can sign off for anyone who needs it. A group photo will be taken at the end of the occasion, and the pop up shop will be open to the group from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm.
This chance for the public to show a local beach a little bit of TLC will be on offer this Saturday, July 20. It is free to participate, but pre-registration is mandatory for liability reasons.
