Pinellas Park hosts contest for kids

The Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park presents its annual kids’ fishing derby at the Freedom Lake Park next weekend.

For over 50 years, the club has been serving the Pinellas Park community by organizing fundraisers, projects, and events to support children. The organization started in 1960 and has been working together with Kiwanis International to improve the lives of children all over the world. It is involved in many projects, one of which is the fishing derby.

The event is free to attend, but monetary donations are accepted for future projects. Fishing poles and worms will be provided, although those interested in attending may take their own if they prefer. Cast nets are strictly prohibited.

Lunch will be provided including chips, hot dogs, and soda. Parents must accompany their children and may take folding chairs to watch the event.

Poster printing is a creative and effective way for event organizers to provide information about fundraisers or events like this.

The free event will take place on Sunday, June 5, with participants encouraged to register on the day of the event. Registration will start at 7:45 am and the fishing event will begin at 8:30 am.

Freedom Lake Park is at 9990 North 46th Street in Pinellas Park, Florida 33781. Email kiwanisclubpinellaspark@gmail.com for more information about the event or how to become a volunteer.
